I am not a fan there but have you considered e.g. eBay? Or one of those secondhand book stores? But if you are talking about new books that are just released, maybe you can find out which country sells them cheap and try to get them via friends or shops in that country.

Hi I have literally thousands of books here for sale. I started doing it years ago, and never know when to stop buying them in. They are all second hand ones, apart from some of the children's ones that are new. If there is anything in particular you might be interested in let me know. I have everything on different subjects to novels and fiction, new and old, classics and poetry. I sell when I can on ebay, and most of my books I put up for less than £1.00, some alot less than that like 50p.. If you wish I will send you my shop link, but there isn't much in there at present. Too busy mylotting I do a basic rate on postage and packing and discounts for bulk. Or as others have suggested try local boot fairs, charity shops etc. Happy reading anyway, wherever you get them.

Check your local newspaper for book sales at the library, church or community or senior center. I go to those once in a while and get used books for 25-50 cents a piece. Can't beat that price. Or, if you know other people who read, arrange a book swap. Have everyone bring books they no longer want, and trade. Each person gets to take one book for every book they brought.

Do you have such things as garage or yard sales where you live? Or are there thrift stores or second hand stores? I don't know much about where you are from so I don't know what is available for you. I haven't looked, but do a search online to see if you can find a website for second hand or used books. Good luck. I love books too and I also would rather own them myself because many times I find myself making notes in the books I read...if they are non-fiction.
