But I am not losing weight the way I want to. I believe I am healthier tho. I am not sure if I need to jog at least to lose weight tho. I wonder what people think. Do I need to use weights while walking to add resistance? Should I add jogging from time to time to my walking to lose weight?

I am not sure why you or the child are not losing weight from all the walking. Perhaps it is all the stuff you devour when you are walking? Too many goodies and sodas and Starbucks will not help you

Neither will constant eating. The child has barely stopped eating since she came in the house LOL

No, I was NOT trying to tell you something here. As for the child, I mentioned her because I was under the impression that both of you were walking and trying to lose a little weight. All I was thinking is that, occasionally, but not always, the two of you take off for a walk and stop for a soda, which leads to a cookie or whatever which leads to another drink. That was all I was thinking I feel like that guy in the cereal commercial now where he ends up saying that the box tells him to shut up now.

Make sure you are hydrated, believe it or not that effects weight loss. Using weights can help but, you would have to increment or you could sprain something. You will have to walk about 7 mph to get the cardio workout that helps lose the pounds. Thats only abut 3mph more than the average persons walking speed of 3-4 mph. You also need o do it consistently and preferably for about one hour 4 times a week. Do expect to see results n at least 30 days. Also keeping a journal has been shown to help those in a weight loss program stay focus, make better choices and have better results for longer periods. Try googling walking to lose weight to find expert information and walking buddies. The buddies can be online, you meet to inspire each other and keep progressing together.

maybe you are not walking for enough time, and not eating the right food as well, I have a friend who walks for a fair while on her treadmill and has cut down the fats and sugar in her diet and she is doing well.I hope you achieve what you want.
