Here in the Philippines, we see different types of houses, the nipa huts, wooden houses and concrete houses. In the early days, nipa huts were the houses of Filipinos, but time came when houses built were wooden and concrete houses with gabled and ridge roofings. I prefer a concrete house because it's more durable and could withstand strong winds although sometimes it's hot inside. I would love to live in a nipa hut or a wooden house because it would be very relaxing to stay in those types of houses. What type of house is your house and what would you prefer to have?

At times I would long to be living in a nipa house like the olden ones. And I dream it is built in the middle of the field with all green vegetables surrounding me. And there is a very cool breeze around me with the birds chirping and humming sweetly all around me. But that is just a dream and I don't think that will ever happen. As of now I have a concrete house built in a very elevated lot to avoid floods that frequent our place. Maybe with the situation we have right now... with all the floods and storms coming in... whether we like it or not... our house should really be concrete.

Our house is concrete and very hot. Nipa hut house is much better but during typhoons and other natural calamities it might be easily destroyed.
