i don know what chicken dish you cooked , but would love to share a receipe with you .. cut chicken, blend ginger and squeeze the juice into chicken, add a bit of chilli powder, salt to taste ... marinate for an hour ..
then you can try to deep fry the chicken or bbq it ... you can taste the unique taste of spices

the only 2 things i use chili powder in is chili of course & baked beans. it gives the beans a good taste,

I use very little chillies in my dishes too. Guess its not the chilli powder that you use that makes a difference to the dish. It is required but not in excess. Try out the wonderful recipes and videos here I am sure with your interest in cooking you will love them
