Has anyone here seen this classic story in a musical play as performed by the world-renowned Ms. Lea Salonga? I wasn't that lucky yet to have enough moolah to buy patron tickets for me and my parents but i can very well assure you that even if you paid around $160 for that show with a complete running time of just 2hrs or so (excluding the break), it is worth every cent you've spent =) In the second act, wherein the fun and dancing and music started, when you just look at the stage, it was truly a delight just seeing them. I like the fact that the musical became more interesting when they gave it a modern touch by adding some comic lines and acts. Although from the middle to the latter part, it seemed that Christopher, the prince, and Cinderella's love story was rushed to the finish part; It was not like it had a slow progression as their love blossomed. Hope you get what i meant. Another thing i didn't like was their very mushy/corny lines when previously they were like in the modern era already. They had lines such as, (the prince to Cinderella) "Why is the color of your hair the only color that a girl's hair should be?" And you know the not-so-classic pick-up lines that have turned to super cliches they used in the script. But overall, it was stunning - a must see for the whole world: all ages and all races =)

I really really wish that musical will be staged here in our place in Cebu. I'm not a Cinderella fan but I am a Lea Salonga admirer. She's one of the greatest artists ever alive and her achievements can attest to that. Go Filipina!
