A1 housing closing a sheltered scheme for pensioners

A1 Housing in Bassetlaw have said that one of the reasons they failed to obtain two stars and obtain £62 million was due to two sheltered housing schemes being under let and it would cost far too much money to bring the buildings up to the required standard.one District Councillor admitted to a public meeting the Council had a deliberate policy of allowing the sheltered schemes to become unfit for purpose by not carrying out repairs.Now they along with A1 Housing are trying to force vulnerable people into taking other flats and bungalows that are certainly not like for like,some residents have lived in these sheltered homes for well over 25 years and now they have been told to leave!!! I would be interested to hear if anyone else has suffered the same problem with their Council
