I used to do this all the time. It was my way of escaping other things. My spirit guide is an old Indian shaman. He called it wind walking. I have not tried it in many years now. The last time I did try it, I actually felt the separation, and it startled me for some reason. I haven't tried it since then.

Ummm, I don't know that I can do that. It is just something that happened to me. I know if you are trying to do it on a conscious level, you have to be totally relaxed, physically and mentally. It is not that easy for me to do, let alone tell someone else how to do it. My metaphysical experiences are something that just happen, mainly I think because I have always been open to such things. There are books that explain it much better than I can. Your library should have some reading material.

I had been trying to do this for a while. My friend has done it several times and told me the way she gets to that stage is by focusing on something until it blurs out and becomes less of an object and more of a concept, something that no longer exists in the world but instead only in my mind. So I tried that several times and only managed to enter a deep and dreamless sleep (which at that point in my life, was a bit of a blessing). Then one night, without even trying, I did it. On a huge scale. I had broken up with my fiance a few months earlier and was still working on getting over it. I was lying in bed, staring at the numbers on my alarm clock (9:30) and the next thing I remember I was sitting on the edge of his bed. I could feel him breathing on my arm, smell his smell... I have no idea how long I was there - it seemed like minutes - but his phone rang and I jerked back into consciousness. Not like a muscle spasm but like an impact, like I had fallen back onto my bed from a great height. The best explanation I have is it was like on the cartoons when a character is dreaming and watching themselves sleep then gets slammed back into their body at the end of the dream. And it was sometime after 1 in the morning. I can't explain why but I know it wasn't just a vivid dream. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced before or since.

i personally have not been able to do it because my life is very hectic all the time. but I know that after you get it mastered you can go anywhere you want and and actually go to the higher planes to even study on subjects that are not known here on this one... best thing to look up to help you with it is called Eckankar. my mom introduced it to me when i was younger
