We do not only store food and water in fridge... but we use this home appliance in many ways... It can be a message board where we stick daily reminders, appointment dates, important telepone numbers... and even the children's latest achievements... At the top of the fridge we put different kinds of items... at my mother's house... that is where we can find the tooth pick container, different powdered juices, coasters, and other thing if there is still space... In my apartments... i put my keys at the top with my fortune plants and the bill reminder... How about you... what's on top of your fridge?... or what other uses do you have for your fridge?...

My buckets that I put my shots in after I have taken themis on top of mine. On the front of mine in magnents and pictures that I have taken of my neice and nephew and also a few drawing my neice did. I have to take shots 3 times a week to slow down my multiple sclrosis from getting any worser or having to go to the hospital for it.

Well see I have to keep my shots in my fridge. Then after I take them I put the empty shot into a container. Onec it gets full I put it out with the trash truck comes by. In the United States we have to put are empty shots in something like old laudry soap containers . Becaue the needles can be harmful to animals and young childern.

I agree with you... and putting them on top of the fridge is a safe way to store them before putting them in the dumpster just before the truck arrives... i wonder what they do with the used needles?... or how do they handle them?...

3 times week... that must hurt a lot... but if it will help slow down your multiple sclrosis... then it is worth it... the top of the fridge is the best place to put the shots... that way you will never forget them... and they are quite safe... Thanks for the response...

On the door of my fridge is a magnet that says: Remember, as far as anyone knows, we are a nice normal family. On top of it is where I put 3 or 4 large bowls that don't fit in the cabinet, and my son's Starbuck's mug. I think the ice tray from the freezer is up there, since I don't use it anyway.

That is a nice quote to put on the fridge... kinda reminds everyone that no matter what... we are all normal human beings... all homes should have that one... the large bowls must be really large to be put on top of the fridge... Thanks for the response...

Well, yeah, they are kind of big. We used to have 4th of July cookouts here every year. There were 75 - 100 people in and out all day. The beans and potato salad, banana pudding, all that kind of stuff went in them, and when you are cooking for that many people, ya just gotta have big bowls.*L*

Hi aseretdd,The old small fridge we had been used for 26 years or so couldn't function anymore. We then replaced a bigger brand new fridge by the end of last year. The technician advised us not to put too much stuffs on the top of it, so it could disperse heat easily. So I place only a vase of artificial roses of pink and red color on top of the fridge. I’ve never realized that just a vase of flowers and green leaves could make our kitchen looks so decent and lively. I also tie yellow and purple ribbons on the handle of the fridge door to decorate it so it doesn’t look monotonous.

Too much of anything is usually not a good thing... we should always leave a space on top where the fridge can disperse heat... but some actually disperse heat on the side... depending on the brand... The vase of flowers sounds lovely... this is why i put my fortune plants on top of my fridge... to brighten up the kitchen a little bit... Thanks for the response...

Does the basket have a particular sentimental value?... i think you can still use it to put things while on top of the fridge... since you do not want to throw it... better make the most out of it... Thanks for the response...

My Fridge - My Fridge with vintage canisters on top, and magnets holding recipe cards on the side.
I have a canister set on top of my fridge. It's not my actual flour and sugar canisters. It's an extra vintage set I bought for decoration and also for storage. On the side of my fridge, I have cute magnets holding recipe cards with the recipes I most often use. That way, when I am cooking, I don't need to get into the recipe box. I can just look over at the side of the fridge.

The only thing on top of my refrigerator is a hand drawn sunflower that my son drew in kindergarten. I've always cherished it and I've even had it framed. Other than that nothing. I don't like alot of clutter of top of the refrigerator. It just gets too grimey.

Today, as usual, it's my cat Frankie. It's his favorite spot. Sometimes it's another cat on the fridge, and poor Frankie is forced to lay on the sofa or my bed.

On my fridge there are some phone numbers and magnets that are not holding anything up, we don't really put much on the fridge as far as it being a message board. On top of the fridge you can find a combination of things, usually flat pans that you use to broil steaks and also cupcake holders, a lot of our baking and "in-oven" cooking-ware tends to be on top of the refrigerator. We also store our wok on top on the fridge, it is so large that it doesn't really fit anywhere else without being in the way, when it is on the fridge it is not in the way of things and it is also very easy to get when we need to use it. Happy mylotting, and have a great day/night depending on where you live!

Your fridge must be a big one to be able to hold that many stuff on top of it... nice to know that you are using your fridge to it fullest capacity... i use mine that way too... since the apartment is very small and there is very little space for a lot of my stuff... Thanks for the response...

Hi! I live in quite a small house so i'm a bit short of storage space so the top of my fridge is pretty packed! I've got a sandwich toaster, a first aid box, spare kitchen roll, a george foreman grill and some frying pans! hehe it's all well and good and saves space in the drawers but i have to stand on a step ladder every time i want to get something down as my fridge is taller than me!! lol xxx

Hi friend, we keep some stuff on ties top of refrigerator. Big thing that on the top is its stabilizer. Refrigerator is placed inside kitchen, so that a fruits carrier is mounted over that. Then some of keys. Some coins that put by mom to buy something..

At school, the only things we have on our fridge are a few paper plates. We don't have anything else up there. At home, the top of our fridge is very cluttered with knick knacks, and it's dusty. We don't really keep anything important up there. Actually, I had planned to clean the top of the fridge off this summer when I was home. However, I didn't get a chance to do it because I had a summer class and other things to do. However I know if I cleaned it off it would just end up gathering more things than it has now, haha.

You have a fridge in school?... is that inside the classroom or your dormroom... a lot of homes put paper plates on top of the fridge... handy when one do not want to clean a lot of dishes... it would be nice to clean the top... eventhough it would just gather dust again... Thanks for the response...

um..i believe we have a tool box up there. don't know why,but a good a place as any,i suppose. ..and occasionally there's a cat who also shouldn't be up there playing king of the hill

Cats usually love the top of the fridge because it can be warm and a little comfortable up there... and no one to disturb them while they sleep... having a tool box there sounds different... because we usually keep the tool box where it can't be seen... Thanks for the response...

Hello aseretdd, We have a lucky charm jar where we put are coins. I also put my car key on another jar on top of the fridge. We also have a flower base on top. These are the regular things on top of the fridge. On other days, you can find chocolate bars, candies, wrapper and other stuff that you just put there on top. It does have other uses other than for storing food stuff inside. The sides and front are used as tack board, instead of using tack, you used magnets. Regards.
