Google trends is a useful tool to see what people are searching for today. Or basically, which keywords are peaking today. Google trends is useful for coming up with ides for blog titles etc. to generate extra traffic to your site. But some times it can be quite confusing to figure out what caused some of the keywords to reach the top searches of the day. Often times it was something announced on a major news channel that made lots of people search similar words. For example one of the top searches for today was "transpiration" With the Related Searches: "Transportation", "hieroglyphics", "Egyptian writing". Any of these words might be a useful title for a blog post that will generate extra traffic today. But how would you make the content interesting? You would have to know what made the searchers use these keywords, what were they really looking for. And for that you would need to know what show they just watched or which radio, magazine, or newspaper made all these people search for the word "transpiration" Is there a place where people discuss the top searches of the day and what caused the buzz?
