Older mylotters - over 60?

I have noticed a few mylotters seem to be over 60. One who recently posted a discussion was 87, on the other day was in their 70's. I think this is fabulous, my mum still doesn't have a computer and i would love her to have access to something like myLot - except she might get addicted! How many of you are older myLotters? How did you get into using the web and myLot. What does everyone else think of this?

hahaha if the 87 is me then that is not really my age, I just don't believe in giving my age I don't think it should be necessary to have it published...some of my friends don't even know my age so I can't put it up on the net...

Did I say it was u? That's a clever technique you use there! I'd say a lot of people don't know my age either.

I am 65 now and I didn't start using a computer until I was 55. I was determined that this form of technology was not going to leave me behind. That's when I invited a friend over to teach me how to get around on the computer. I started with MyLot about 1 1/2 years ago. I started slowly at first and even got away from it for a while, but now I'm back and going strong.

Some people do put a false age on their profile. I know there are some genuine over-sixties here, but if someone supposedly aged 88 posts about her five year old son, you know she has not given her real age! If another person is writing about their grandchildren, they really are of an older age. The age on my profile is my true age, and I know several other members who really are around the same age as me. Your mother would soon find people with similar interests, of all ages. I don't think age matters too much at myLot. We all have something to contribute, and your mother could well become addicted to myLot.
