A panel in Denver is trying to ensure that pot smokers at The Democratic National Convention are not harassed. I find this amusing. This is my part of the world but will of course avoid Denver like the plague (). Here is a link to the story, but it is being covered by a lot of other sources as well. http://www.denverpost.com/headlines/ci_10088465 http://www.thedenverdailynews.com/article.php?aID=1561 What do you think? Denver has legalized marijuana but can't over ride state and federal laws.

Sticky area to tread. It realy tests the boundries of authority. Federal law in itself is suposed to be minimum at most. "all powers not granted to the federal government by the consitution are given to the state". But each state is different in how it's state level laws clash with local control. I'm not sure which would take precidence in Colarado. I would imagine for the most part State law being the final authority given in the constitution supercedes local laws.
