I made the bezel around this new buffalo nickel as a trial run. I have a silver dollar that was made in the year my Dad was born and I want to make a pendant out of it. I thought I'd try the technique on this nickel first to see how it would work. Do you do beadwork? If you do, do you use a pattern or do you make your own designs, or just make it up as you go? Do you have pictures you'd like to share with us?

I usually pour my beads on my work pad, look at them for a minute then start working. Most of the time I have no idea what the piece is going to look like when I am finished. Sometimes I do have an idea for a design, but once I get started, I have no idea where that design is going to go,until I am finished with it. I don't ever use patterns. They confuse the heck out of me. Even the most simple instructions elude my little pea brain. I can look at something and figure it out, most of the time, but to sit down with a pattern and work from that.....I think I will just keep making things up*L* (Looking at my 301 posts, thinking, just 199 more to go until I can share pictures}.
