What Is The Meaning Of Life? What Purpose It Has?

I been wondering to myself, what is the purpose of life? All of us are born, then we grow up, make love, reproduce, work for the nation, then finally say good-bye to this world. It is like a cycle, a cycle which has no purpose - and no meaning. What say you people?

Everyone's truth is different and everyone's path is different. A huge part of my life from a very early age has been that same search. When very young, I believed what my mother told me about God and "religion" to be "what it was all about." However, I can remember to the age I was and the incident that left me knowing that there was more to it. I was 13. So, I can only tell you what I have learned to be true and in other cases what I believe to be true. You must do your own search and find your own truth about it. I believe that life is not God's gift to us, but our gift to God. Some pretty horific things happen to us here on earth. How could they be considered a gift. I do believe in reincarnation as I remember 2 of my lives. I think we come to earth (or any other place for a life) in order to experience for God what he/she cannot on his own. It's kind of like without the nerves in your fingers, you could not know what touch/feeling was. Hopefully each time we have a life we increase in our understanding as well, making us more enlightened for the next life. The very fact that you ask the question shows your growth. Do you know how many people don't ever even ask? The reason I know that there is more than "we are born, we live, we die" is that at one time when I learned that you could leave your body for a period of time, I decided I wanted to experience that. So, every night I asked for the experience. One night after going to bed, but not sleeping yet, I was facing inward. At my back I heard a female voice say, "Karen lay on your back." It scared the you know what out of me as it was very clear. I was too afraid to turn over and see if there was someone or something there. But, within a few seconds, I felt myself leaving my body and moving towards the ceiling. I floated along the road at a twilight outside. That was it before I found myself popping back into my body. Okay - there's more but you get the idea. It's a process of searching - always asking for answers ouside of the religious box. Best to you on your search.

'I believe that life is not God's gift to us, but our gift to God' - that is a very interesting saying, thanks for saying. Your experience nightly is sure a spiritual one, maybe you are already 'there' or have are clear about what you want. That's great. Hope your answers will always stay true and be with you.
