What do you want to be: Strict Parent/Cool Parent?

For me, i like the way my parents show to me, my father is strict and my mother is cool, but as a parent now for my kids,as a mom, i want to be both.Be strict so they should know how to respect you and respect others, and be cool so they can share their problems with me,or they not afraid to show their feelings.How 'bout you?

I'd like to be a cool parent too someday
. A mom that my kids would consider me as their best friend too. Play together and even share secrets especially about their crushes. I kinda like the idea of giggling with my kids when it comes to cute boys and girls
. But I would still be setting rules and I would make them follow my rules as strictly as possible, to let them be reminded that I'm still their mom.
