Praying

While I was in despair, I came across this message: The Lord invites us to make prayer our first response than our last resort. 'The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him sincerely.' (Psalm 145:18) Sometimes as human beings, it is hard for us to think of going to God first when we are in trouble. We tend to rely on ourselves and our decisions because of our free will and our gift of intellect. I was deeply moved by this message. It really struck a chord in my heart.

This true. Most people just think of God during hard moments. And it is so sad because I am guilty of that as well. Thanks for reminding...

You're welcome. I need to be reminded also of counting on God first.

I have had to work very hard to retrain myself to pray first in response to everything; whether it's praising Him for something that has gone well or imploring God for help when something has gone wrong. One thing that has helped me to deal better with trouble is to realize that the bad things are sometimes in God's plan, too. I just give it up to Him and say "Your will, Lord, not mine." I'm not always able to do this right away, but I'm working on it. No one of us is perfect and we'll never be perfect. We are all works in progress and God knows this. It's when He sees us working hard on our relationship with Him that we become blessed.

go wants s to come him first as his children but many people doi not turn to good they try too fix things themselves and they mess it up worst then it is but god tells us too trust in the lord with all our hearts and lean not unto thy own understnading in all thy ways acknowledge god and he shall direct our paths when we allow jesus to lead us and guide us into all truth so we must look to the hills from whence cometh your help but all help comes from the lord so we have too lean on him and trust in him at all times and allow him too be god the bible also says too cast all our cares upon the lord because he cares for us we have too give him problems to jesus and allow him to solve them and the only way to do that is too pray and ask him too help us leaving our burdens at his feet ans allow him to wokr things out for us because we have to be reminded that the battle is not ours but the lords!!!!! we have too continue too look up to jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith who knows all and sees all and understands all so we can go to him at all times!!!!!

Yes, we often rely on our own understanding when it comes to making decisions, when all we need to do is to understand that we need to turn to him first through his son, Jesus Christ. Without turning to God first, we are bound to make decisions that are not His will but ours.

In the act of praying you are having a personal conversation with God, therefore since this is a one to one experience you should hear Him talking to you. However, this is not the case, at all times it is a one way conversation or you end up talking to yourself, therefore if you are talking to yourself then you must be God. What do you think?.

Pray without ceasing this is God's will for usas it is written in I Thessalonians Chapter 5. Prayer is the source of power and strength. Particularly living in a perilous time such as ours we are so dependent upon God's mercy and grace.Prayer is God's gift to us, we should just maximize this privelege. Let us boldly come to the throne of grace that we will obtain help in times of need.

Correct, I believe that God wants us to be dependent on him since we are his children, his creation. If we do not rely on him, we will become wayward because we will be doing things on our own, disregarding him. I hope I will learn to look to God first in every thing.

well , praying look simple but hard, i pray sometime but there is something in my mind i have paranoid with God . because we must take responsibility of what we saying in our prayer , our word look so religious but in action if i count 1 minute i can make +- 3 sin so 1 day it almost +- 500 sin we make. that,s why i afraid for praying , even Jesus said 77 x 77 someone make sin to you you must forgive him , someone said " praying is the most hard work to done" and now i understand yes it hard so hard . I see a lot of people working until dusk , but I never see people praying that much in 1 day.
