There are a lot of digital camera available in the market...i wanna purchase one but my hesitation is that because the good ones are a bit pricey, i wanna buy one that is user friendly, takes good pictures, durable and is worth the money...and value won't depreciate fast...any suggestions please...

In my opinion, Sony is so good but it is expensive band. Alao, other Japanese bands are good. Like Canon, Nikkon, Olympus.

Sony is good, but i prefer the brand that have specialty in camera like Olympus, Fuji, and Nikkon. Beside, Sony is using third-party lens, the Carl-Zeiss, which make their camera more expensive.

i have a sony digicam. i think it is more user friendly than canon. canon comes at prices less than about a thousand. but you have to be a bit of expert to handle those. bit intricate functions.. bye and take care.

Well, I would recommend Sony ones. I don't know for what it will be, then it's better asking first: what's going to be the use of the camera? Professional, Casual, Hobby..? For now, I'm happy with my Sony. =)
