O.K. so I am helping host this babyshower for my best friend...She is going to be a single mother and a first time mother of a beautiful baby girl so I want to make this extra special for her but we are on a REALLY tight budget so I was wondering if anyone knew of any homemade craft Ideas that we could do together? Any ideas would be great we would love some originals or ones you made up yourself!!! Thank you so much!!!

You could get some wood or ceramic decorations for the nursery that hang on the wall at one of those hobby stores and everyone could paint one and sign the back.
Or you could all do a scrapbooking-type thing and make the mother a baby book.

as far as game ideas, you can some great ones on-line. just type baby shower ideas in your search. or make-up word finds or unscramble words. you can find some good recipes for baby showers.

One of the most fun games at my cousin's baby shower was passing around a roll of toilet paper and having everyone tear off the squares that you think will fit around her belly!
Also, take the labels off baby food jars and have a taste test to see who can guess the most flavors.

hmmmm maybe you can make a handmade baby mobile (see link below) and have the friends you invited make cute origami animals (like paper cranes or other cute animals) and then during the baby shower you can all attach your origami to the mobile for the baby... something handmade for your friend who is expecting would be special i think. just an idea, i hope this helps!

just wanna add... you can make the mobile simpler and in my opinion safer if you use a simple embroidery hoop, just like the bat-mobile hanging toy under the "related" section of the link i gave. and instead of the scary bats just hang the origami heheh
