Do You Set Goals For Your myLot Activity? I Just Reached One...

Do you set goals for your myLot activity? I've been working toward a goal with a few days left at the end of the month to meet the monthly payout. It's kind of a tough goal, given that we do not know what exactly a person needs to do in order to earn - with the except of what we all generally know (write, write, write!). My goal was to make contributions over the course of these few days to reach payout for the month. I started out near the $8 mark yesterday and am still working toward the $10 mark... The goal that I reached was surpassing $1 for a single day's earnings here at myLot. The highest amount that I had reached before was in the 90 cent range. But with all of my responses that I gave yesterday, I was awarded $1.10 in earnings. (Others have told me that they have achieved such earnings and even higher - two, three, four dollars in a single day - but when you consistently are earning pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, who would believe such reports?) What did I do? I had started a couple of discussions in the days prior that had received a number of replies. On one discussion alone, I posted twenty-seven replies; eight replies to another discussion; twelve replies to another discussion. In addition, I also responded to a half dozen or so discussions that had been started by my friends. When I give responses (or when I start discussions), I really aim for something substantial in length. This discussion post that you are reading right now might be a little long, but it is not atypical. Generating earnings for discussion contributions is not an exact science. You should not walk away from this post, saying, "Ok. All I have to do is post 47 replies, each four to six or eight lines or more in length, and then I will be guaranteed $1.10 or more from myLot for earnings." It doesn't work that way. You're never quite sure what you're going to get the next day in earnings. I am simply telling you what I have done - because I know that before I crossed that $1 in a day mark, I found myself wondering: "What are these people doing?" So I met my goal of earning $1 in a day. My immediate short-term goal is to post enough that I make my payout for the month of August, but then for the long-term, I want to see if it's truly possible to make $2 in a single day. If I can do it, I'll let you know! What are your myLot goals? Do you set goals like me? What are you hoping to achieve? And if you have reached a goal or made an achievement, can you explain what you did to achieve that goal? Thanks for reading - and thanks in advance for your reply!

I know that you have no plan of it, and that you only respond to my discussions... at least for now. (For me, I must make a goal of trying to produce interesting discussions! ) Cheers!

My only goal here is to have fun responding to post and writing some of my own too. I have never reached payout and find that too achieve making money on here I would have to sit in front of my computer for many hours a day and I just cannot do that with 4 kids and a life. I would love to have a day to sit here on my lot though because I have so much fun doing so. Keep up the great work! You are doing so much better than I am on here ;)

Having fun on myLot is an easy goal to set and an easy goal to achieve - which makes it a very good goal for many of us here at the site. You have never reached payout? Wow. That baffles me. How can a person post as much as you have posted and still not have reached the myLot payout? Are your earnings even close to the payout mark? I guess it simply goes to show that myLot's earnings calculator truly is a "secret" device that defies explanation... And for some people like yourself, it simply isn't that important. You have your life outside of myLot, and if myLot can bring you a little fun now and then meeting people and interacting with them, then you have met your goal of why you signed up in the first place. Much fun to you in the future!
