O.K. So I met my husband in middle school...My first love, High school sweetheart, and best friend. We got married right out of high school...Well, I realized after six months that he was all i knew and I needed to meet other people and spread my wings and I felt more dependent on him than in love with him any more! So, long story short I left...this was 7 years ago and I use to know where he was and sent him divorce papers twice he told me his dog ate them both time...I know nice!...Anyway, now I can't find him...I have looked for years and nothing is there a way to get a divorce from someone you can't find with out spending a fortune?????

Hey rustie, Wow, what a drag!! How long ago was this? Why do you think he won't sign the papers? Well, here are a couple of sites you can check out. 1. peoplefinders.com and 2. reunion.com. Also, I just thought of classmates.com. As far as getting a divorce, check with your State to see what their laws are. Some times after a certain length of time they allow you to get a divorce. Good luck with your search sweetie. I really hope you find him. leenie

i don't know where you live but in pennsylvania you send the papers to the last known address and after a certain amount of time with no response you'll be granted a divorce. check with your local courthouse or a lawyer. most lawyers will give you a free consultation. if you do everything yourself, no lawyer, no court, it shouldn't cost much. i just went through it,except i knew where he was, and did it all myself and paid under $150. if the kids are involved it could be alot harder and expensive. luckily i had my kids with my fiance and not my ex. like i said call the courthouse, prothonotary's office, or go in to the courthouse to the law library, they should have a do it yourself packet. that's what i did. call around to lawyers and ask for a free consultation, some may even answer your questions by phone. good luck
