A Miracle for a Mouse

Tonight I became a mother to a newborn mouse. I've named it Lucky and I only say "it" because it's too young to tell if it's a male or female. It's pink with no hair yet and it's eyes are not even open yet. So I'm hand raising the tiny thing with an eyedropper and keeping it warm with a heating pad on the lowest setting. Lucky was actually meant as food for my god-niece's baby ball python but for some reason the snake didn't want Lucky and the mouse has survived two days of being in the aquarium with the snake. I had to go in my god-niece's room tonight for something and I saw the poor baby mouse squirming around. I couldn't take it and had to rescue the little thing. Thanks to some great knowledge of a neighbor I now have baby mouse formula and am going to do my darndest to help Lucky survive. Say a prayer, wish me luck or both. I'll post to let you all know how things are going.

Well I can see why you have named your mouse Lucky. Boy what a lucky escape the mouse had. Was meant to stay alive

I am sad to report that Lucky didn't make it. I stayed up with him most of the night, but I'm afraid it was just too late, that he had been in the aquarium without food for too long. But I tried and he was a cute thing and we gave it our best shot.
