Hi friends my husband is got severe low back pain and hes suffering from past three days. He cant go to office nor do anything. He is not even able to wake up from the bed. We had been to ortho specialist the doctor told he has to take complete bed rest then only he will recover. But inspite of taking rest for 3 days continuously there is no improvement in the pain. Can somebody tell what might be the reason for this. anything which can be done at home. Please help me friends.

hi!How i wish i know something that can help take away the pain that your husband is feeling right now. But i could tell you this, if the doctor told him to have complete bed rest, let him try to lie down on the floor. I too, is having back pains, both in the upper and lower back. My doctor told me that it is just my muscles and because of stress. He advised me to lie on the floor, he said that my bed might be the cause of the pain i am having. That lying on a flat hard surface is good for my back pains. There are times that i can't tolerate the pain and i result to taking pain relievers. I hope that this could help him even just in a little way.

hi sujithakripesh!back pain is a severe problem & this happens due to many reasons.well your husband 's back pain may be due to office work.i suggest you to try hot water bag.it brings so much relief.get a hot water bag from chemist ,fill it with hot water & keep it on the back where its painnin.hot water should be that much hot which is bearable.after sometime apply some pain relief balm which doctor prescribed you.but never apply before hot water application otherwise skin starts burning.once he recovers tell him to do yoga for strong spine but with the help of yoga expert only.i wish him speedy recovery.

I really don't know what could've caused his pain. you didn't give much information. Is the bed soft or firm? If it is soft, it may help him to sleep on a firmer surface perhaps the couch or floor. I'm not really sure what he could do to help it right now, but once he gets a little better, enough to move I mean, he should try and do some simple stretches, like very mild yoga. Have you been to a chiropractor? I know that regular doctors don't generally believe in chiropraction, so the doctor may not have mentioned that as an option. Perhaps that would help. Did the doctor take xrays? I would probably go to a chiropractor and have them do an xray.
