Some of you know that he was in Florida doing storm duty after Faye hit. He got home around 2 am Monday morning. Well, then they got called back out to work here in Alabama Tuesday at 2:45 pm. He was gone overnight but has been back since.
They are waiting to see what happens with the new storm out there. No matter where it hits they'll probably be sent out. The best case scenario is for it to go back out to sea, but that doesn't look likely. We are just hoping he has the whole weekend home!

Oh gosh, sunnflr! I hope he at least gets the three day weekend at home for some R nd R. This time of year is no doubt a very busy time for him, huh? And with all those storms out in the Atlantic, who can tell what is gonna hit, or where, next? I'm with you, wish that storm would just turn around and stay out there in the vast blue sea.
Hope you have a fun, relaxing weekend.

What exactly does he do that he gets called away?
I imagine the waiting is hard. Knowing you have to go soon but when and where?
The storm coming sounds like it could be big and it has such a broad range of a target. I can't imagine living with that possibility. I am land locked here in the Midwest. We have tornadoes but they don't scare me.

I bet you're glad to have him home for a little while! Did you get any rain from the hurricane? We got some yesterday and we are supposed to get a lot more. Right now it is not raining but it is a little chilly out. I just hope we don't get a whole bunch of rain.
Have fun spending time with hubby! :)

I hope so too, for your sake and the sake of many others.. This storm is sounding awful scary, especially for the Katrina victims.. I can't imagine going through Katrina and then about 3 years later, witout having the first mess cleaned up, having to even think about going through it again.. Tell him to stay safe and take care, sounds dangerous to me..
