Has anyone in here tried dove shampoo and conditioner? wow! They are the only shampoo and condtioner so far that has lived up to their promises of fixing dried out, frizzy hair. Eversince I started using it ,my hair has become soft and shiny, instead of frizzy. This stuff is amazing!. I have been trying to grow my hair out and I almost gave up until I tried dove. Does anyone have any other secrets for shiny hair. Stuff that stops the frizzies without weighing you hair down? If you haven't had any success, try dove, but make sure you use both the shampoo and conditioner together or it doesnt work as well.

I experiment a lot with hair products because with my long hair I'm always getting dry, split ends. I'm a fan of Andrew Collinge products and Lush stuff and recently found Herbal Essences to be surprisingly effective. I think I'll give Dove a go now, based on your recommendations. I've met the owner of Lush several times and he's actually a trichologist, so I asked him about hair care and he said it's good to switch brands from time to time as hair can get too used to using one product. I'm happy with the excuse to change it up as I'm addicted to buying beauty products! Something else I've learned is not to buy products that list dimethicone as one of the top three ingredients because it's silicone and although it makes your hair look shiny, it's not actually healthy for it. It's just coating it in silicone and preventing other things from penetrating it. Over time hair can begin to get a plastic-like look and texture to it because of the silicone build up.

I've heard the dimethicone helps with split ends by "gluing them together temporarily. hmmm so many products,I might just go short again if I can't get rid of these frizzies. Thanks Phaedra-Scythe

Yes I agree with you that dove shampoo and conditioner are the only ones that have live up to their name. I have been using it consecutively for 3 years now and is not even thinking about changing to other brands. Its good.
