The 3% climb in the US economy: really from the "rebate" checks?

I don't think it helped...people probably used to pay a bill. This question is OFF TOPIC, I wanted to ask you, sedel1027, since I had no other way to contact you, what did you use to get rid of the cat pee smell on your tile ( question you had from a year ago). My cat decided to start going into our pantry and pee on a bunch of plastic bags, which got all over the tile, travertine tile, so it soaked into it! It is so gross, tried cleaning, still smell it. What's the magic potion? Thanks! Cheryl

Well in way it did help the economy. The ones who used it to pay down their debt, do not have to fatten the credit companies with all that interest. And if one bought stuff, would not one have put it on charge anyway? So in way what people will get from now on, they can use to buy new stuff without paying so high an interest charge.

every single person i know used it to catch up on bills too.. i think its a bunch of bull

I didn't even make enough to get a rebate check, although I was under the impression I was going to receive one. The people I know who got theirs used it for rent, and like yourself other debts for the cost of living not helping the economy grow.
