I got pulled over after going to take a friend of mine her house key because it got left in my truck. Well she lives in this subdivision that has like 20 stop signs you have to stop at just to get to her house. Well I am not going to lie, sometimes I dont come to a complete stop at every single one of them. If i dont see any cars or kids, i will generally not stop all the way i will just slow down, and then go. Well yesterday I happened to do just this, and out of no where a cop gets behind me and pulls me over. AND I TELL YOU WHAT!!! I got a ticket unfortunately... and you wanna know how much it is!!?? 141.00!! I suggest to NO ONE to ever run a stop sign!! I know I will never do that again! I am so upset about this! I mean 141.00 for not stopping all the way!! Anyone had this happen to them...??

Just be glad that someone didn't get hurt. Every time you ran a stop sign you took a chance. Someone could have been hurt because of your lack of concern. Hopefully this will get you to obey traffic signs. The signs are there for a reason. You should stop at them because someone can get hurt. Not because you might get a ticket. Do you know anyone who was injured because of a careless driver? Regardless of what you think, running a stop sign is careless. One of these days you will understand.

Yes I am very glad that someone didn't get hurt. I do realise that everytime I have run a stop sign it is a change of someone getting hurt, but it isnt like I plowed through the stop sign.I slowed down to almost a stop and I did look to make sure there was nothing coming. I have learned my lesson however.

Wait until you are older. You will understand. Especially if you have kids. I don't have any kids but some people who live in my are do. They let them run wild and hopefully they will not get hit. People run the stop sign here all of the time. But I would put a knot on someone's head for doing that if I had kids.

I have never done that ever. You are just lucky that you never got hit or hit someone. There are so many times that I have seen this done and out of nowhere a car comes and plows into the person that never stopped. To be honest I don't feel sorry for them at all. If they came to the complete stop and made sure it was clear it wouldn't of happened. As well you never know where the cop car will be. It might be an unmarked cruiser.

I've never had that happen to me because I always stop all the way. Well, NOW I do. I wasn't always the best driver when I was young, but I've only gotten two speeding tickets in my entire life. Oh, and one parking ticket. That's it. AND I got out of one speeding ticket by going to a defensive driving course! Some cops are bored and need to fill their quota for the month, so they'll hide and try to get someone like you; someone they can pretty much assume is not a hardened criminal who will give them a fight. I've known enough police officers in my life to know how they operate! It seems like half of my family were police officers, sheriffs, or something along those lines. THEY aren't always law-abiding either (generally speaking, that is)! I know that the price of tickets these days is outrageous! My husband recently got a speeding ticket that cost him $174.00. We live in the country with very little traffic. I don't see how he could be considered a major threat, just as in your case. But, I guess they're trying to discourage people from committing these little 'indiscretions' while driving, so they charge an arm and a leg. I guess, from now on, you'll make sure your friend doesn't forget her keys, huh?
