The biggest boxing match in years is set. Oscar De La Hoya has agreed to a Dec. 6 match with boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao. The match is also the grand finale of 35-year-old De La Hoya's unprecedented career as the box-office king in a sport that has survived on his back for more than 10 years without a dominant heavyweight, the match will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel Garden in Las Vegas. Questions: 1. What do you think of the match? 2. Who do you think will win? 3. Who has the advantage? 4. What will it take for Dela Hoya to beat Pacquiao? 5. What will it take for Pacquiao to beat Dela Hoya?

Well, I will definitely watch the fight. I think ODLH will win this one but that does not stop me from rooting for Pacquiao. Size and reach advantage goes to ODLH obviously. However, with Pacquiao's speed and the fact that ODLH has problems fighting southpaws, Pacquiao has a chance to take the "W". One important point though, win or lose, Pacquiao will be $15M dollars plus richer.

this fight is also about the money and entertaining both the fans of manny and oscar. whatever happens to this fight both will take home a lot of money. but for sure this will be a great fight. eventhough dela hoya has a height and reach advantage pacquiao has more speed, power, energy and stamina.

What the heck. Golden Girl fighting Manny? I've heard about it but didn't thought it will push thru. What's wrong with Oscar? his avoiding Margarito. It's a shame on Golden Girl fighting a smaller opponent like Manny. He said that he would fight the winner of the Cotto Margarito fight but now he ate his words. I'm not saying that Manny is not a deserving fighter but, come on there's a very big difference. Hey the sport didn't survive on Oscar alone. There's Roy Jones Jr. (before but now a disgraced fighter), Bernard Hopkins, Floyd Mayweather Jr. (now Mayrunner), Manny Pacquaio, Erik Morales, Barrera.. Yes, Oscar makes a lot of noise whenever he fights but he's not the only one who put glitz and lights to the sport. I think the fight will be awesome and interesting as both fighters are very good. The fight will not go to a distance. It's hard to tell who's gonna win but I'm rooting for Manny. I hope Manny gives Oscar a beating in the ring. It's gonna be a big bucks fight. It'll be on boxing history.. Both fighters has their own advantages. Oscar has a big advantage on height and reach. Manny has the speed and endurance. Manny is on his peak while Oscar's lust is fading. Punching power slight advantage for Manny. Tactics and skills advantage on Oscar. Oscar has to use his height and reach advantage. Don't let Manny to get in, 'coz he's definitely gonna get knocked-out. Use his Experience.. Manny has to use his speed and power. It doesn't matter to Manny if the fight goes to a distance or not, he has the endurance. The longer the fight goes the better for Manny 'coz Oscar is known to deteriorate after the 7th round (but I hope the fight doesn't go that far, I want Manny to knock Oscar out).. I hope Manny wins!! ...

I still believe that Manny will win this because he is lighter than De La Hoya, or please correct me I don't know about boxing. I believe Manny has the advantage because he have a strict practice.

As a Filipino, I will always root for Manny. In fact I do pray for him whenever he has a fight. Well this new one with dela Joya is something to look forward to. This is a big one that the world will surely watch. I cannot really know who has the advantage. Both are good fighters in the their own right. I can't even comment on what will take Pacquiao to beat him. For as long as Manny keeps his same old energy and add new techniques surely he will win. Boxing is not all strength, you also have to employ some wit. I pray and hope that Manny do it again. Cheers for Pacquiao!
