Beijing Olympics 2008, do you feel the spirit of Olympics?

I've watched the opening and closing of Beijing Olympics 2008 and was really amazed by the preparation done by China for this event. I've also seen some details of it from Discovery Channel. After these, I've seen a tv program here in my country, the sports officials are corrupting the money that should be given to train our athletes. No wonder we did not get any medal from any event. I'm really sad that our nation, majority of it does not know the real meaning of Olympics.

Yes...i defntly do and that is the reason i have enrolled my 3 year old into a swimming class to bring her up to that level....i wish your country could also produce some, we have to initiate from our own household, i have started, the same way, you too start with yourself (if you are young) or with any of your family members, groom them...the others will follow us

you are correct, but we also need encouragement from higher offices. if the other sportsmen and women can't make it because of the corruption, what can ordinary people like us can do to be able to win on olympics, even at least to make it into the olympics?
