Do you believe in a thing such as what we called as "DESTINY"?

We often come across people talking about fate/destiny in their lives.I was just thinking how many of us would believe in it?and why?(even if you don't just share it why you don't believe in it).

I don't believe in that thing.. I think that every person makes it's own life, I don't think that something prepares us a destiny or a fate.. every person is the owner of his/her life.. Every person is in control of the life.. I don't believe that someone can just say "My destiny this.. my fate is that..".

yes i do believe in it, I have a few stories to prove it, here's one.... while in high school I used to go to my best friend's house all the time well her boyfriend at the time lived right across the street well he had 2 sisters and one of his sisters was dating this guy, well he had a cool car that was noticeable, so we used to go up to him and talk about his car. anyway jump ahead a few years to about 3 1/2 years ago. this same best friend had a mutual friend (between me and her) well this friend went on myspace to meet people to date, she met some guy and had him meet her at my best friend's house, she (my bestfriend) called me up to come over because we were all going to go out, i walked in the front door through the kitchen and turned the corner to the living room, and guess who was sitting on the couch? that's right the guy with the cool car, he had 2 roommates and he brought us all over to meet them, one of them was/is very attractive and we hit it off. we have been together for 3 1/2 years and have a baby together. so if that's not destiny then i don't know what is. it was destiny for me to run into the guy with the cool car so he can introduce me to my current boyfriend/future husband.

I have to believe in Destiny. If things happened that I plan to happen, I might not believe in it, but seems everytime I set a goal or plan for something, i never see it. If i let things be and happen as they may, I end up getting what I want or something that ends up being better than what I could have planned for, so yes I am a believer in DESTINY/FATE

I don't believe in destiny, lets say you are destined to become rich, but you're not striving hard to succeed, will you become rich? I think destiny is always associated with coincidence.

hello friend yes i believe in Destiny and fate, for the Simple reason that nothing happen just like that, you make your own Destiny, for Exemple, You work Hard, and You need to Reach a Goal in your life, let's say that i need to buy a car, so i do my best, i work here and there till i get the necessary money to buy the car... the way i went Through is what we call my Destiny :) we can talk in that also about God and religion, but we leave tha subject far away because it's hard to explain :)) i just gave you a answer which most can understand ;) have a nice day ;)

I believe in destiny. There is the final destination...but the way is all upto you. I know it is difficult to explain it, but I always felt that somehow, everything that is meant to happen will happen. Now how it will happen and the way towards the destiny itself is left as our choice.

I have a mixed feel about this, sometimes my life makes me feel that there is nothing out there called "destiny" but sometimes there is this situation in my life which make me to strongyl believe that there is "destiny" which again is very near to "coincidence"
