Are their others out there that work in the er? I would love to share stories. Constructively grip and unload. Do you think ,that even though you may think it at times, the way some people talk about the patients is just wrong. I know we have alot of Bs type complaints come to the er. And i realize they help to overload an already bogged down system. Some cant help it because they have no medical insurance and i realize that. But i am talking about the person who comes to the er for a headache. "how long have you had the headache?" reply, "about 2 hrs" "Did you take anything for it?" reply "no".........????? I mean like "wheres YOUR sign" Or ... here is a good one years ago a man came by ambulance for a sore throat. His thought was he wouldnt have to wait to be seen. Now that is a waste of peoples time, resources and tax payers money. Would love to hear all thoughts , stories and ideas.

I've never worked in the ER but I have worked in NEURO ICU. The stories are great..but by the HIPPA LAW, I can't share them. I did however, work for a fire department once..and I have some really great stories there!

I understand completely, believe me! I've been in situations where I had to vent to my car insurance salesman becuase I didn't have anyone else to talk to. He and I became really good friends.
