O.K. Last night for dinner made the best cheesy BBQ meatloaf ever... It was soooooo yummy... After dinner I got up to bath our daughter and lay her down to sleep... However she was not wanting to fall asleep so I laid down with her and I of course ended up falling asleep to... When I woke up it was four in the morning I came to the kitchen and my hubby had failed to wrap and put away the meatloaf... I went ahead and put it up then... So my question is do you think it is still good after sitting on the counter at room temp. until 4 a.m?

Well it depends rustantl. If the temperature is pretty cool in the place you live then i don't think anything would happen. However if its quite warm out there then yes high chances are there that it could go bad. Bu the best thing i would recommend if u have a doubt in mind then don't serve it or eat it. Put it away. The reason is because if you'll fall ill with an upset stomach you'll will not only have to spend extra money on the doctor but also suffer the stomach pain and motions. So just think a little wisely and act accordingly that would be the best advice i could give you dear.

Throw it out. When meat sits at room temperature that long it collects bacteria and can make you really sick! And the cheese is a dairy product which should not be left out either. Follow the rule when it doubt throw it out. I would not eat it and risk getting a bacterial infection.

That is a little chancie. I only say this because not only was the cheeze left out, but also meat. The cheese could go sour and the meat rancid. Plus, I"m sure with the change in flavor of the two, the sauce doesn't have the same taste. I wouldn't chance it. If it were a short time, maybe but that is a long time for cheese or meat alone to be left out in room temperature.

Well i think its still good...if its wraped its ok , because ushaly food preserved from air remains in the same condition for maby a little while...Its still edible if its been on the counter for about few hours.Yes its still good and edible but its going to taste diffrent of feel a little hard.

I would say no, anything with dairy shouldn't be left out for long. since it did have cheese in it, throw it out so no one gets sick. just incase.

rusti, Sweetie, it's not worth taking the chance no matter how good it was. I have done the same thing and it was so hard to just toss it in the trash, but food poisoning is way too serious to risk, especially with the kids. Better safe than sorry!!xoxoxo leenie
