Whats the emotion and commotion all about?

Shown at Obama's whatever, I mean. I am black, his native country is next to mine and I admire him for the hurdles he has had to jump to get where he is but frankly, he is over-rated. They ae applauding him like he's gonna solve the poverty problem in Africa, or find a cure to AIDS or stop Islamic fundamentalism. He's an intelligent man granted, but so were Jefferson, Lincoln, or in modern times Kennedy and Clinton. What I'm trying to say is that people are expecting too much, taken up by his message, but he is first and foremost a politician and won't change much as he alleges he will, no. So I believe.

I think the thing is you see mostly the people who are way too taken up by his message. However I think what you don't see, is that the majority of Americans aren't really this way. They think he will be a good president, and surely a better one than our current president, but we (or at least me) are not expecting huge changes. But I would be happy with a little bit. Baby steps are the way we are going to have to take this, and anyone who thinks otherwise is kind of deluded. But trust me, most of us know he is a politician, and that a lot of talk is just that, talk. However, so were Kennedy and Clinton, and I wasn't really alive during Kennedy, but Clinton was not a bad president by any means. That is more along the lines of what I am hoping for with this election. Some baby steps toward change, but nothing drastic like his talking.

He talks about changing the way Washington operates but I don't think he will do that. I mean, is there any other way it should operate, esp in International affairs. I think his impact, if there is going to be any will be felt internally, with stuff like the economy; I don't think he will change much in international policy in case he wins. Nice MyLotting.

I do admire him for the hurdles that he has jumped over but he has not impressed me more than that. As you say he is a politician and will say what it takes to get the office. He has said that he will change things but he has not said what the changes will be. I for one would like to hear what kind of changes he is going to do.

I don't believe he's going to change much. Maybe something about the economy, if he wins, and a little charm and beauty and optimism in the white house. There is not much to change. Nice time.
