So you want to earn money online. But you are a beginner who doesn't have a clue what to do and where to go. Don't worry. Here is a little list on how to start making real money online through a simple online business. NOTE: What I will be focusing on in here is how to make a basic online business. I will not teach you about joining particular websites like GPTs (Get paid to). 1. Create a website The first thing you need to do is to have a website. Your website will be your personal area on the internet. This is where you will write articles. This is where you'll introduce yourself. Most of all, this is where you'll sell products. To create a website, you need two things: a domain and a host. The domain can wait especially if you are on experimental stage. I know a lot of marketers will disagree with me on this but my goal is to give you some space for errors. After all, domains are not free. But if you really want to get a domain, go to domain registration websites like GoDaddy.com. On the other hand, hosting is mostly free. If you are not making a website that needs a large space, then a free hosting will suffice. 2. Fill up your website Okay done with the requirements? Good. Now you have to fill up your website with content. And I do not mean just any kind of rewritten, copied content. What I mean is original, useful content. Why original? 1) Google will penalize your Page Rank (your rank in the google search engine) with your copied work 2) You can get sured for violating Intellectual Property rights. Why useful? Well, who would want to read some fluff with no end use to them? I know I don't. When you just fill your website will fluff, your visitor will quickly take notice that you're just after the money on advertising. Believe me. they will never ever visit you again. Thus, you lost loyalty. NOTE: Don't put ads on your site when it's new 3. Market your Website With content, I think your website is ready (well I assume you have finished the design right? If not, I have templates I could give you if you just PM me). Now it's time to market your website. This is an essential step that you should not miss. It is only in letting other people know that your website exist will they visit it. So how to market your websire? Here are some ways. * Submit your website to free directories * Write articles and put your links on the bottom then submit them to article directories * Join Link exchange and Traffic Exchange websites * Join Forums and put your website link on your profile or signature * Comment on Blogs putting your websites link on the url portion. * Make a video and submit it on video directories like YouTube with your links * Create advertisements for free classifieds * Create a Press release * Write news stories and contribute to other websites and ezines * Join Social Networking sites like MySpace and Facebook and advertise (but not spam) * Join Yahoo Groups and Google Groups related to your site. * Have a feed (try feedburner.com) where everyone can subscribe to * Write an ebook and have your links in the ebook Of course, there's more but I'm pretty exhausted so I'll end that there. 4. Watch your traffic Now if you did everything right, you will now experience some decent traffic. be sure to attach a feedback form in your website so you can see how people see your blog. Watch the behavior of your visitors. Do you leave them hungry for more information? or are they just visiting then leaving? Keep track of this and adjust your website accordingly. 5. Advertise after a month of consistent traffic Now that you have consistent traffic, start to put up your ads. But don't cover the whole webpage with banners. Add them slowly and be sure not to affect your visitor's experience of the website. So there, by this time you can easily earn good money with the traffic and the ads. It will be better if you learn SEO to increase your earnings. To end this, I'll leave you with one note. "Never underestimate the power of leverage. Monday I get 10 visitors, Tuesday I get 100, Wednesday I get 1000. Who knows how much visitors I will get in the years to come?"

Thanks. I know the flow is a bit off. I'm a bit sleepy after all. But I'm glad to help. Don't be afraid to ask questions when you find yourself lost.
