I really shouldn't watch the news this early...

The news has stories of striking workers at Boeing, striking teachers, gas might be rising to $5.00 a gallon...just what II need as a reminder of how my life has changed for the worst. I lost my J.I.B. In December 2005, and my health has gone downhill more rapidly since April this year. I am attempting to pursue SSDI, or find a job. I'm icing up everything...I lost my house, my car, my good credit, and most days, my sanity! I found a minimum wage job that would allow me to buy gas to get to work OR eat. Now whose idea was it to give me a chronic disease with a horrible side issue Without health insurance?!?! (I have MS with neuropathy--a pain so localized and intense that I can't think over it). I don't have anything...everything is in a holding pattern now and I'm freaking out! I'd love some calming, soothing words about now.

Whenever I feel like this, I just remind myself that there is ALWAYS somebody out there worse off than myself.....

I am not homeless, so I guess that's something to look towards, although I did throw a lot of things out. But without a car I become dependent on others--my MS prevents me from getting around too much

I understand that; I think the most frustrating thing about my local social services program is that it is a REactive program instead being a PROactive program. Just because the bank hasn't taken my house doesn't mean that I have assets--and they want me to be totally desolate before receiving aid.
