winning a prize

Really there is nothing comparable to winning a prize. One gets eleviated to a level of excellence and feel proud of himself/herself. He/she feels that his/her life of worth something. Atleast some people recognize our qualities and appreciate them. But should we feel proud of winning any prize/Title/Game. Please share your comments
