Keep reading and writing, do some practical work as well... just remember it doesn't seem simple in the beginning, but usually if you are living in the U.S it takes 6 months to become fluent in the language. It depends you may take less than 6 months. Do not be too shy to communicate.listen to tapes, and try to make out what they are saying. You'll learn naturally
