Some people who suffer from anxiety and sress on ground of family problems, incompatible relationship and related family issues, have very little control of their mind. They normally carry their family problems to their work place and mix it with their work related problems ,further elevating their stress level. As a result, their performance and productivity come down. How do you explain its impact at individual, family, organisation and society levels?

I guess I am fortunate enough to be able to leave my family problems outside work. I try to be as professional as I could be and somehow, when I get to the job site, I take a deep breath and switch to "work mode". It may just be me but I always find work to help take my mind off such problems just as long as I keep myself busy. When things go slow at work and I don't have anything to do, then I start looking for something else that is work-related to do. When I sign off, then that's when I start thinking about what to do with such problems.

I'm like Saint Ann, when family stress was the worst work was my escape! I had to concentrate on keeping customers happy, getting my job done right etc. It seemed there is a survival button that can switch off and on. I worked not only to make a living, but to survive a very stressful situation at home.
