What do people really mean when they say " I am not happy with my life"?

Every so often I heard people say I am not happy with my life. I been to this situation before and I feel the same "I am not happy with my life" but what really makes a person to say this words? With my situation before I said I am not happy with my life and the reason why is because my lovelife sucks that time. Do you think people should say this when they are upset? What do you think are the reasons other says they are not happy with their life? Thanks, Happy Myloting

I think people are unhappy with their lives because they have made mistakes in their life. I know that I have made many...and at the moment, I am very dissatisfied with my life. But it isnt anyone else's fault. It is mine....for making bad choices. I just have to pull my self up...and move on to better things.

I have also experienced feeling that way about life especially at times wherein I have so many problems to deal with. Family, studies, relationship, money.. It felt like I couldn't handle all those problems at the same time that's why I said to myself that I'm not happy with my life anymore and I even wanna end it at that time. I have learned from the experience that one could only say those things because of whatever emotions flowing through one's body in situations like that. Anger, sadness, depression, anxiety, pain, guilt, etc. Whenever you have problems and whatever that problem is, there is always a solution to it. People tend to think of giving up easily because we think we can't handle those problems. But you can't solve a problem if you won't face it. One can be happy if he/she wants to be. It's just a matter of doing whatever he/she can just to attain that happiness. Also, being contented with what you have is one thing that can make a person happy instead of saying that he/she isn't anymore. Happy postings!
