how to care for my dog's injury?

sherry, as i call him, my dog. he is injured in his last right leg by an accident. the doctors used the best antibiotics, but unfortunately, the wound is still purulent and bleeding. what should i do?

They didn't stitch it or wrap it? I'd wrap it so the edges met, with a little pressure, to help stop the bleeding.
