Eariler today, I was helping my friend with her history and in her book, it had a little side section about the Oregon Trail. I went searching online and found a place to download it. I was instantly sent back in time, to 3rd grade. My friend and I sat there today and played for at least one hour. Anytime someone got "sick" or "died" - we freaked. By the time we got to the end, every one had died except me, lol. We weren't very good travelers. But, anyway! Does anyone remember this game?

I do not know about the game, but 2 years ago I read a book named "Oregon Trail" by Francis Parkman; it was a good book, and gave an insight into the life of the Sioux Indians. If I not mistaken, Oregeon trail is a particular route which covers 6 US states namely, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Vyoming, Idaho, and Oregon trail, and was used by many travellers during the 19th century. So very interesting, so what is this game about!!!

I don't quite know how to explain it? lol You're traveling to Oregon and you have to buy food and such a long the way. You have 4 other people with you. Sometimes, people get sick and die. And such. It's really fun, though, lol

I LOVED that game. We had a version when I was kid that was very low-tech haha. The people and animals were just stick figures and it was all black and white. Eventually we got the newer versions. It's such a fun game. It's nice that it is also a little educational.
