Behind the dark cloud is a silver lining....

I was feeling down before, because of what was happening at my workplace. The job that I thought was heaven-sent slowly turned out to become a nightmare. I've tried and tried to get out of that place, and although I have had several opportunities and possibilities, however nothing really got to materialize. A few times I thought I had the prospective job in the bag, only to be let down again when I'm told I really came "that close"...like I just missed by a point or two. And then, suddenly, out of the blue, another opportunity came along. A dream company, a dream role, the salary that I've been hoping for, perfect location, and more than just pleasant work environment...my prayers have been finally answered. I'm starting there next week, starting on a new chapter in my career. Its true, behind those dark clouds lies a silver lining.....life's good!

Hey really glad to hear about this pal. I believe in the saying "Everything happens for our own good". Many times we get disappointed or feel low when things don't go our way and keep saying why is this happening to me. But later on we realize that it was for a reason and what happened happened for our best. And today here you are with your dream company, dream role, and the salary that you've been hoping for. So every thing has fallen in the right place for you now. Enjoy your new job and all the best in life!!

Thank you razor123...I'm definitely excited with this new job. When I had the interview, first with the Office Manager and then, the Managing Director herself, I really felt very "at home" and welcome by those ladies. It felt like the job was really cut for me, and that instead of screening me for the particular position, it was more like they're luring me to accept their offer. If I had been successful in either of the two previous interviews I had, I would have missed on this one for sure...so yes, everything do happens for a reason. Who would think that something far more better is out there waiting for me? I will definitely enjoy this new job and I'll show them that they did not made the wrong choice and decision in offering the role to me. Thank you for your support and compliment.

I have always believes everything happens for a reason, when you get disappointed like that then it is possible it is just not meant to be and there is something better along the way...I have been so disapppointed about some things in my life but when I look back I am so glad the things never did work out because it would have led me to a different path and I would have missed out on something womderful...

Yes, that is my strong belief too although I must admit, I sometimes find it hard to believe, not until that particular change sets in...then, you really can look back at everything with a smile, now finally understanding why things haven't been falling into places for you before. I'm really glad about this change. Thank you for your comment.
