Few doubts on the discussions??

I had a discussion yesterday and that got deleted. This triggered the thought what really happens to the discussions. 1. We say that the money we earn is propotional to the quality of the discussion we post. Who decides this? Is it just the number of responses one get to the discussion that matter? Does this mean only quality discussions get more responses? 2. Understandable that posts with links can be deleted (automatically or something like that, which is again difficult because i can post a general read (wiki) link which is relavent to the topic). But say some other posts which is not breaking the ToS, but the oversight of the author leads to a break of terms, how is that discussion deleted? Is there someone who reads through all the discussions and decide one is ok and other is not. I cannot imagine the number of discussions that has to be read through in that case. Happy mylotting friends..

Hi sreekumarn86! I'm sorry to learn that your discussion was deleted. I have my fair share in deleted discussions too. I was wondering at first why it was deleted. However, it was pointed to me that I broke one of the rules and that I admit. I was just wondering why mine was deleted and the others were not. I think that some respondents are the ones who report the discussion they think has violated the TOS and upon being reported the admin will check it out and see if it should be deleted. That is what some mylotter friends told me how it is. Sigh! Take care always..God Bless!

Hmm, even i think so now. But i have never used the option till date. Have you used the option and reported any discussion? Should we be ideally doing that?

Hi dear friend! I have never yet reported any discussion. Even if some mylotters told me that if I find som discussion that have violated rules, I should report them. In my opinion, I would only report a discussion when it is really abusive and offensive in nature and I am glad I have never encountered any of that nature before. lovelots...faith210

That's what i thought as well. But still pondering over how they decide to delete it. I doubt if ever someone reports a discussion for just breaking the ToS

Yes friend, mylot staff are really reading everything we post here so do be careful with your discussions and responses. They can sometimes delete a post or respond in a matter of seconds. That happened to me before so I know. Mylot has their own system on how to run things here in an orderly manner. What we users are required to do is to just keep on using the site according to their guidelines and they will give us incentives by being active here. Just keep on posting and responding I suggest. You will only get confused if you try to figure out how they run the site casue no one can. Just be happy while mylotting. Ciao!

Thanks for those tips. Obviously i can see that you are more experienced with mylot than me. I'll try and heed by your advise. But what's still confusing me is that there are several similar discussions that did not get deleted.. Anyways, i'll leave all of them behind.

Your discussion may have been deleted coz ur discussion went against mylot rules. Maybe someone posted referral links here which is not allowed at all.

I suggest you read my blog about this: http://earnalotinmylot.blogspot.com/ As you can see, even if I will leave this link here, this discussion will not be deleted. Only affiliate links are deleted. I also don't think that the mylot admin would go over every discussion to see what's to be deleted and not. This is how "report abuse" works (or the [!] button). When other members report your discussion, mylot looks at it. Have a nice day!

That's great information. Thanks a lot friend. I am going through your blog, and it does seem vastly informative. But that still leaves me with the question about quality content generating more income. How do we explain that?

Hi sreekumarn86, I have no idea how they delete the discussions, I would want to be the Mylot staff having to read hundreds of discussions to decide which one to delete. Tamara
