What sites are the best to join to get paid for writing? I've seen a few, but I'm looking for a site that is free to join and payments are made through check or paypal. Any suggestions??

I would suggest helium. You will have to write a lot and get writing stars to earn big. It would be great if you sign up now and do the titles on their summer rewardathon program which is only until september 22. If you have a writing star by then and have articles in rewardathon you earn 1 dollar for every article.

I'm currently trying AssociatedContent. The site looks professional and I'm currently working to get the $10 bonus. You'll get the bonus if you submit 10 articles by the end of September. If you are going to try it out, be sure that each of your article is at least 400 words long. And I forgot to look but I think they should be original and unposted before so they get exclusive rights over the articles.

At AC you can choose non exclusive so that you can submit the article to other places. Good luck on getting the bonus.

I read that it's better if you submitted it as exclusive, you get a higher chance of getting paid for it.

I also write for Associated Content, but only on occassion. That is how I got my start with writing online. If you would like to write, I also recommend finding clients. I use websites like www.rentacoder.com. They allow people who need a service, like a web designer or freelance writer to submit a bid and sample on a project. I have found a few long term clients from this approach. On Rent a Coder and many others, you are paid through PayPal. There will be a lot of low paying projects listed, but there are some good ones in between. That is why I don't write for Associated Content as much anymore. Good luck.

there's s lot to choose but that really depends on your preference that suits your personality and wants.. there are many out there and here's to name a few. - triond - helium - xomba - associated content - print in post - share your expertise - hubpage anyway, check those out, see and evaluate which fits you then. best luck to you.
