How can you tell if a Discussion will get Deleted?

Sometimes I see people say things like "even if it gets deleted I will respond!" and other things like that. But, how can you tell if your discussion would get deleted, and why would you post a discussion you think would get deleted anyways? I am just curious to how this all works, becaus I know that mylot is pretty secretive to how they pay you and judge things.

Hi dreemsofdark! If I see a discussion that I feel sure will get deleted for violating the Terms Of Use the I join the discussion and respond informing the user. I would start by saying 'even if it gets deleted I will respond' meaning that I am writing even though I know I will earn nothing. Earning nothing in terms of money obviously. By warning users of their mistakes and making them aware of the Guidelines I feel I am earning their trust and maybe their friendship. Of course not all are happy if they get some advice - that is their problem not mine! If you are aware of the Guidelines you can be sure your discussion will not be deleted. Only if it is in violation will this happen. Basically be sure it IS a discussion, there are no links containg referral IDs, no personal information like email addresses and it is not discussing a personal problem concerning the MyLot site. Don't talk about things already mentioned time and time again like earnings and stars. Have fun, take a quick look at the rules and if there is something you don't understand feel free to ask a user who has been here longer. My PMs are always open Have fun and happy posting!

THank you!!!!! You are like a mylot celebrity because someone posted a proof of payment simply because they knew you'd ask, LOL! So it's certainly an honor to have you help me out, and I understand now when people respond even though they know it will get deleted. I've had a couple of my posts go down in number before, so I understand.

Gosh you saw that discussion too?! There's a long story behind the reason he knew I would ask and maybe one day I will explain - the same person also called me an 'old lady' which brought 'fame' too so I suppose I have a lot to thank him for I'm happy I was able to help you on your doubt and if ever you have any more you know where to find me - 'help' is my middle name Thank you for the BR! Have fun here and look forward to 'seeing' you!

the reason why discussions been deleted because they are doubled post or topic that already posted before or just a non-sense topic. How will you know, always check the number of your discussion, when it decrease, it means the admin deleted one of your post, make it is already posted or maybe someone is reporting it or maybe the admin dont feel like your post.

Posts get deleted if they are in violation. If the admin doesn't like it has nothing to do with it at all. Take a look at the response below and welcome back!

They are more than likely looking for referals. They have it set up to email them every response they get so they can get the names.
