At one time I am sure Larry King, the host of Larry King Live, was a responsible journalist, but I just do not know if we can really call him that any more. Last night, September 4 just for the record, Larry interviewed a panel of independent political commentators summarizing their observations at the close of the Republican Convention. The experts included: Robert Gibbs, Senior Advisor, Obama Campaign; Sen. Evan Bayh (D), Indiana; Mayor Gavin Newsom (D), San Francisco; Terry McAuliffe, Former Chair of the Clinton Campaign; Michael Dukakis, the 1988 Democratic presidential nominee and former governor of Massachusetts, Arianna Huffington, Co-Founder and Editor, Huffingtonpost; Katrina Vanden Huevel, editor of The Nation, and Mario Cuomo, Former Governor of New York. Study that list and find for me just one indepenent or Republican on that panel. Times up the answer is they are all Democrats. So Larry brings in eight Democrats to form an independent panel to give their observations of the Republican convention. Am I the only one how see a problem with that?

Well, I HAD a few thoughts to put in here but after reading through the thread and witnessing the childish banter going back and forth, I think I'l just tip toe back out and close the door.

You may have missed the title on his series, but it was called the Democratic Response to the RNC. He did the same thing for the Republicans at the DNC. It might have been one of his best topics, but it certainly was equal on both sides I can say that.

What is the point of having eight Democrats talking about the Republican convention, or have how ever many Republicans talking about Democrat convention. I do not know but maybe it would have made more sense to have four Republicans and four Democrats.
