Community organizers are up in arms over the perception that several speakers at the Republican National Convention cast some slurs at community organizers in their comments about Obama having no responsibility as an organizer. I've been involved in grass roots community organizing for all sorts of reasons, and I take more than a bit of offense at the notion that the work I did was beneath notice. Have you ever been part of a grass roots organization? Have you ever led a grass roots organization? How do you feel about the implication that community organizing is worthy of such casual dismissal?
