I have been working for two years at a Trading Co. To be frank, I did a good job, but in the past two years, I didn't get more new customers, in fact, it's not my problem, just because my manager didn't give me more opportunities, he gave more changes to the new or wrong guys who always make lots of mistake.
Of course, I know the reason that he often worries about that I will surpass him. Do you have same experience in your office ? How did your manager do for you in order to keep his position ?

I don't think that it is right for the manager to treat you this way in order to keep and strengthen his own position. But I have heard from one of my old students who used to work in a company with his immediate boss or manager, trying to give him something unpleasant. Later my student left that company and worked at a better one with the real boss appreciating him for his being intellectual and good understanding and mastery of English. Good luck to you, mari.

though i have not a job any more,i very understand your situation.i think you are a capable person.i suggest that you should continue to work hard and grab every chance to emerge your ability .one day if you can not stand your manager any more ,you can fire your manager fist and find a new job.

i have had a similsr problem.i used to work in a hospital a few years ago and duuring certain periods the number of patients used to dwindle down.i had to shoulder all the blame and hear his rantings that it was happening due to my incompetency, when actually he was at fault.
