Virus on mac?

Can Anyone give their experiences about major viruses and spy wares that gave them head aches from their macs. Because all I know that currently there are not much viruses that are currently spreading for mac os and I feel secure using macs. If ever there are any could anyone tell how cure it?

although currently new in mac environment, all i can say is that i haven't got any virus yet, and if any, it's viruses for pc only, and can't affect the mac.. (i am transfering files between my pc and mac, vice versa).. (for my pc, i have to buy mcafee 12in1 'coz "free" antivirus can't detect some threats)..
just in case, i have installed Avast! anti-virus for mac and it can catch pc viruses as well.. another anti-virus for mac is ClamXav..
