How do you handle with stereotypes?

Today during gym class, we were having a fitness test and a lot of people where involved and I actually got a pretty good score. People didn't find it good enough because I am African-American and people expect me to jump high because they think just because I'm "black". My friend was joking around with me, he's chinese and he said "Come on man, your black, what happened to your hops?". What's suppose to mean? . Man, I'm sick and tired of dealing with stereotypes. Have you ever been stereotyped because of your race/ethnicity, hair color, personality, Gender, etc.? Please share. I've heard a lot before in the past for example(Don't take any of these personally, I'm not saying them from me, I'm telling you what I heard. I don't want to create any unwanted attention): 1. All Indians Eat Are Curry 2. All Asians Eat Dogs & Cats 3. Black People Jump High 4. Blonds Are Dumb 5. All Chinese People Are Smart/Nerds. 6. Christians Are Homophobic 7. Irish's Are Alcoholics 8. Men Take Charge In A Relationships 9. Women Are Neat 10. Germans Are Nazis/Fascists 11. French & Italians Are Romantic 12. Russians Are Violent Note: I AM NOT SAYING ANY OF THESE ARE TRUE. DON'T TAKE IT OFFENSIVELY BUT I AM JUST GIVING YOU A FEW EXAMPLES I KNOW. If you have any experiences, please share

um i'm chinese and people say i'm good at math. I think that's true but not all chinese people are good at math. I mean my brother is good at like science, but horrible at math. I usually just ignore the people who say sterotypes.

I've heard about this stereotype. No offense but, not everyone can be smart! Anyways, don't worry about it, and walking away is the way to go!
