having kids

I saw a movies along time ago, and this person was talking about how in this society, we need a license to fish, a license to drive, a license to open a store, a license to sell alcohol, a license to get married, a license to be a doctor or a lawyer, a license to run a restuarant...yet, we don't need a license to have children, which is more important than anything else. Anyone can have a kid, and then that child is at the mercy of it's parents, totally, and because so many parents don't know how to be a parent, or don't even want to be a parent, so many children are abused, and unwanted, and ignored, or treated like possessions. What do you think? Should we actually issue licenses to people to allow them to have a child? They would have to take classes in parenting, and learn what it means to be a good parent. We might have alot less abused children to deal with.

Hmm. Thats new, you are partly right, but i think to have child is not a possessions to have a license even if it is your own flesh and blood. I believe that life is a Gods gift to mankind to take good care of and guide them until they are ready to stand up with their own. As a parent and you dont know how to be responsible to your own child, for me it is better to have it an adaption to those couple who are very capable of taking good care of and give your child a brighter future.

i think its a good idea to have a licence before having children, it manages population and prevent abuses of children, the only downside i think is that religous sect will disagree and the inplementation is.. errr... quite virtually impossible..
