Have you ever roasted your own coffee?

A few years ago, a friend of mine started a small coffee roasting company. He used to bring freshly roasted coffee - and I mean like roasted just a few hours ago fresh - to work for me, and I have never tasted coffee so good in my entire life. I've been researching a bit and found that I can buy green coffee beans online for about half the price of roasted beans, and I'm thinking about trying to roast my own at home. Does anyone do this?
